Our Mission
BGAVS works with tribal communities and most importantly with the most vulnerable and marginalised of this lot. It also works with other civil society groups for the capacity and resource sharing for the benefits of the tribal communities. The organisation works with the government department/s for the purpose of tribal development. All this is targeted at tribal development. In lieu with this our Mission Statement is:
“Bhartiya Gramin Adivasi Vikas Sanstha works with the tribal children, women and youth to build their capacities so that these communities strive for their own development It also works with other non profit organisations with commonality of purpose and values to influence the state government to bring about positive changes in the pro-poor and especially tribal communities policies”

Our Objectives
In pursuit of the above Vision, the organisation shall work at the fundamental level of the tribal development. To achieve the vision and accomplish the Mission, BGAVS works with the focus on following objectives:
- To create an environment and lay a foundation for the tribal children’s development;
- To provide space and opportunities for tribal youth and women for their development;
- To create awareness and mobilise community towards collective ownership and responsibilities;
- To make access the health care services for the tribal communities.
Geographical Span
The organisation has the mandate to work across India. Presently BGAVS is focusing in the tribal belts of Central India, more particularly in the states of Maharashtra, and Chhatisgarh.
Maharashtra : Chandrapur, Amaravati, Akola, Nandurbar Nagpur and urban area of Pune.
